I'm Mike Fetherling, founder of Poly Service Pros. In 2014, my wife Trish and I started a polyurethane concrete-raising company with a single truck and trailer. Over the next decade it grew into one of Chicagoland's most trusted names — bidding the jobs, leading the crews, maintaining the equipment, and keeping demanding schedules on track. Along the way we built our own systems for estimating, scheduling, field operations, and customer service — the unglamorous machinery that keeps jobs profitable and crews moving.
The foundation under it was a career spent hands-on in demanding industrial work — heavy construction and environmental remediation, running complex projects across the country.
That work was also deeply technical — and I was hands-on in the guts of it. On some of the hottest, dirtiest, most vibration-laden equipment in the field, I pulled and landed wire and worked through the instrumentation and relay logic, and I knew the job well enough to define what the controls and logic had to do. It's the same domain-first discipline we bring to the software now: we understand the work well enough to define exactly what the tools have to do, then engineer them to hold up on the worst day, not just in the demo.
